Tucson Festival of Books

Dear Readers and Writers–

I just got back from attending the Tucson Festival of Books at the University of Arizona in Tucson.  WOW!  It was well worth the 7-hour trip.

I met Jenn McKinlay, Nevada Barr, J.A. Jance, Margaret Coel, and several other mystery writers.  What a kick!  I also attended three panel discussions, which were very interesting, both to readers of the genre and writers.  I got signed copies of several mystery books, including a personal note from Jenn.  She’s a super lady!  If you haven’t checked out her Library-Lovers and Cupcake Bakery series, and you like cozy mysteries, you really should.  She’s funny, thought-provoking, and a blast to read.

A plus to the trip was a visit with my brother and sister-in-law.  (Thanks, guys, for a great time!)  They treated my husband and I to a trip to a local Jesuit mission and a concert where we listened to Benny Goodman music.  Swing on!

If you get a chance to go to the Festival next March, you should definitely try to attend.  It was well worth the cost of gas (cheaper in Arizona than in California) and the time to drive or fly there.  The University of Arizona puts on a very nice event.  Now, back to work for me.  Books sales are doing very well, and my readers are calling.

Happy reading and writing to you all,
