Lazy Writer?

Hello Fellow Readers and Writers–

Sorry it’s been so long between posts, but I’m NOT a lazy writer.  I finished the first draft of my newest book, Hooked on a Cold Case–the 5th in the Two Old Biddies Series–and now I’m rereading it and making corrections.  Hopefully you’ll see it on Amazon sometime in November.

I’m also scrambling to get stuff finished for the United Methodist Church Craft Fair, taking place up here in Big Bear on Nov. 1 & 2.  It’s early this year, and has thrown off my schedule.  If you’re in southern California, and feel like coming up, I’d love to meet you!  Stop by the Fair!  The church is on North Shore Drive.

Early snow, on Oct. 10th, has all but disappeared now.  Not expecting any in the near future.

Other than that, I’m good, the family is well, and I’m NOT a lazy writer.  Are you?  Try writing out your goals–your Ultimate Goal, your Mid-Range Goal, and your Short-Range Goal.  Post them by your computer, so you have to see them each time you sit down to do something else besides writing.  It helps.  And trust your own process.  I’ll be blogging about that in the near future.  You can read books and blogs and watch U-Tube videos about writing, until you’re blue in the face.  You’ll know when you find what works for you.  Stick with it and stop trying to fix what isn’t broken.  I have to remind myself to do that each time I write a book.  My journaling shows me that about 3/4 through each book, I get antsy, and try to reinvent the wheel.  Don’t do it.  Stick with what works for YOU.

Happy Reading and Writing to you all,

                                       Jill-Ayn
