Hello Fellow Readers and Writers–
Well, I’m going crazy, but I’m working on TWO books at the same time. One is for my writer friends, and one is for the Two Old Biddies fans.
The nonfiction book will be called How to Write a Mystery Without Plotting It to Death. In the world of writing, there are two kinds of folks–plotters and pantsers (so-called because they fly by the seat of their pants). I do a little of both, but lean toward the Pantser side. I follow my characters on their adventures and am sometimes just as surprised as my readers when it comes to whodunnit. This book will walk writers through the steps they need to take to pull together a mystery–cozy or hard-boiled.
The newest book in the Two Old Biddies Mini-Mystery Series will be a change of pace. Megan is down the hill, cooing over her new granddaughter, so Alice is on her own. She’s trying out the new recipes she got while in Las Vegas. The book will be called Muffin Madness, and will feature Alice, not Megan. When Alice tries out some of the new muffins on her clients at Mystery Muffins, two of them drop dead. Oops! You’ll have to read the book when it’s released to see what happens next. I’m trying out new muffin recipes, as we speak. My poor husband is my guinea pig, but he doesn’t seem to mind his new title. (LOL!)
Well, I’d better get back to work if I’m going to finish these two books.
As always, Happy Reading and Writing to you all,
Jill-Ayn
